Potters Cross Pre-School Playgroup operates as a Charity (Registration No: 151336). We undertake fundraising in order to keep the playgroup running and to provide those extras for the children.

We have a Fundraising Committee which meets approximately once per half term to discuss and organise the events. If anyone is interested in becoming more involved, then please do not hesitate to contact me. The meetings are informal, younger siblings are welcome and any help is very much appreciated.

Last year, we were, once again, astounded at your generosity at fundraising events and we raised just over £5,500!! Considering the size of our playschool and the current economic climate, it really is an extremely impressive amount. I personally, am immensely proud of the effort everyone makes and hope we can continue to do so.

Jennie Cameron – Chair of Fundraising Committee

We are always looking for raffle/tombola prizes to use at various events. If anyone has any unwanted, new items which may be suitable and they would be willing to donate, then please let me know.

If any parents work for an employee who has a charity match funding scheme, then this could potentially help us double the amount of funds we raise. Most large corporate banks, insurance companies, supermarkets and other retailers will offer this opportunity to their employees. If you work at such an organization, then please take a moment to check whether its something you could help us with.

Do you want to know how to help raise funds without even getting off the sofa ?? If you’re shopping on the internet, please go through It will not cost you a penny more but any internet shopping you do (whether it be your weekly grocery shop, ebay items or clothes shopping) via this website will raise monies for us. We’ve even put the link on the pages of this website for you! Similarly, rather than using google to search, use With just a few extra clicks of your mouse, you can be raising money for your child’s playschool.

Any help you can give at any event is priceless. At the end of term concerts, for example, we always need people to set out the chairs, sell raffle tickets, sort out refreshments, help clear away etc. It means sparing one hour of your time. In return, you get to help your child’s playschool (and bag a seat near the front to watch them on stage !). Keep your eyes open for rotas nearer the time.

We’re all fundraised out for this year but keep an eye open for many events planned for next year.
